Wages are computed as Basic + DA + Retaining Allowance per Code on Wages s.2(y). Excluded allowances exceeding 50% of CTC are automatically added back, ensuring correct PF, ESI and gratuity bases with no manual intervention.
Overtime is paid at 2× ordinary wages (OSH Code s.28) with an enforced quarterly cap of 125 hours. Daily limits of 8 hrs and weekly limits of 48 hrs with 12-hour spreadover rules are validated automatically on every attendance entry.
PF and ESI contributions are calculated on statutory wages — not just basic salary — as mandated by the Code on Social Security. Gratuity follows 15 × wages × years ÷ 26 with the ₹20 lakh cap; fixed-term employees get pro-rata gratuity after just 1 year.
Earned leave accrues automatically at 1 day per 20 days worked after 180 days of service (OSH Code s.32). The system enforces a 30-day carry-forward cap and manages encashment payouts through the payroll engine.
